Displayed on a billboard opposite the Whitney Museum of American Art, Alex Da Corte’s large-scale installation reimagines Roy Lichtenstein’s 1963 painting Hot Dog with a loose sweep of red paint across the surface. The work combines Pop art commercial imagery with Abstract Expressionism while acknowledging local street vendors.
