Alternative Palm Springs: Other Desert Architectures

This exhibition explores the lesser-known design experiments of twentieth-century Palm Springs, moving beyond its familiar modernist identity. Hosted at the Palm Springs Art Museum, it displays architectural models, drawings, photographs, and objects. The display brings together unbuilt architectural proposals, counterculture off-grid concepts, and spaces created by the LGBTQ+ community to demonstrate the evolving nature of the region's built environment.
