Bauen für die DDR

The Berlinische Galerie presents a retrospective devoted to Josef Kaiser, a key architect of East Germany. Featuring architectural drawings, models, collages, films, and photographs, the exhibition explores his major state commissions alongside political and aesthetic tensions of the era. Works by contemporary artists Tracey Snelling, Veronika Kellndorfer, and Karsten Konrad offer additional commentary on his architectural legacy.
