Farnsworth Mural Project: James Prosek

Artist, writer, and naturalist James Prosek explores the environmental connections between land and sea through a large-scale mural created for the Farnsworth Art Museum. Featuring his signature silhouettes of organisms that inhabit the Gulf of Maine region, the work examines how biomass moves across ecosystems and prompts reflection on how humans label and organize the living world.
