FRANZ WEST opens at Albertina, Vienna, Austria, on November 6, 2026 and runs to March 29, 2027.
Marking the 80th anniversary of Franz West's birth, this retrospective at the Albertina showcases the nonconformist Austrian artist's boundary-pushing oeuvre. Inspired by Viennese Actionism, the exhibition explores how West connected art directly with life, highlighting his interactive Adaptives and sculptures designed to engage the body and remove art from traditional pedestals.
