MANOLO MILLARES: Personaje caído I

This single-work display focuses on Manolo Millares's 1970 mixed-media piece Personaje caído I. On view at the Museo Reina Sofía, the presentation highlights how the Spanish artist used torn, stitched sacking to confront twentieth-century violence and political repression. The presentation offers an isolated look at Millares's dramatic aesthetic of destruction and symbolic repair.
