Manuel Herreros & Mateo Manaure: mi nombre es Venezuela

This exhibition at the São Paulo Museum of Art features the 1982 film TRANS alongside 75 photographs taken during its production. Directed by Manuel Herreros and Mateo Manaure, the project captures the lives, bodies, and challenges of transsexual women and travestis in Caracas. The display explores themes of gender violence, institutional marginalization, and collective resistance through intimate collaborations between the filmmakers and their subjects.
