Mechelle Bounpraseuth ສູ້ສູ້ Sou Sou

This interactive display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales features new commissions by Mechelle Bounpraseuth. Known for her glossy, hand-built ceramics, the artist presents large-scale sculptures of food, canned goods, and produce inspired by her parents' Lao homeland. Drawing on family traditions and personal memories, the work celebrates shared meals, domestic life, and cultural connection across generations.
