This exhibition at the National Gallery of Art explores the connections between language, location, and modern Native experiences through multimedia works by Sky Hopinka. Featuring photographs inscribed with original poetry, a calligram, and a short film centered on an audio recording of the artist's grandmother, the display illustrates how written, visual, and spoken words intersect to express memory and shared Indigenous history.
