Co-organized with the Philadelphia Museum of Art, this exhibition at the Art Gallery of Ontario examines the tradition of dressing in one's finest clothes within Black diasporic communities. Spanning from the 1880s to modern times, the presentation uses garments, fine art, media, and historical items to explore fashion, activism, migration, and personal identity.
