A two-part exhibition examining tarot's emergence in fifteenth-century Italian Renaissance courts alongside its modern artistic applications. The first section focuses on the origins of the three earliest surviving decks, commissioned by the Dukes of Milan, while the second explores how modern artists adopted tarot imagery as an alternative to the strictures of modernist aesthetics.
