A touring retrospective of the self-taught artist's work from 1935-1981, featuring radiant drawings, paintings, and collages inspired by dreams, spiritual revelation, mythology, popular culture, and the natural world. Created during the Jim Crow era in North Carolina, Evans's compositions use recurring motifs of flowers, birds, and angels to envision a lost world of spiritual harmony.
