Thomas Haneman: Synapses

The John Michael Kohler Arts Center presents fantastical, vibrant botanical paintings by Thomas Haneman. Inspired by his garden and created following a period of severe depression, these imaginative works resemble neural connections and serve as visual markers of his mental recovery. The pieces draw inspiration from historic botanical studies and Dutch still-life traditions while retaining an inventive, timeless presence.
