When Threads Meet, They Speak

This exhibition brings together Asian textile traditions from the collection of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, highlighting Bengali kantha embroidery, Japanese boro fabrics, and HMong-Miao paj ntaub pieces. Created mainly by rural women who repurposed worn cloth into functional items, these works reveal shared techniques, artistic patterns, and personal histories.
