The largest European retrospective of James McNeill Whistler (1834-1903) in 30 years and the first ever held in the Netherlands, presented in collaboration with Tate Britain and The Mesdag Collection. The exhibition introduces the American painter and printmaker as an aesthete and enfant terrible, a visual innovator and cultural provocateur of the 19th century.
