This exhibition at the Baltimore Museum of Art features around a dozen large-scale Senegalese tapestries, focusing on works made at the state-supported workshop in Thiès. Combining modern abstract styles with historical events, local flora, fauna, and everyday life, the display illustrates Senegal's post-independence cultural investment and how artists helped forge a new national identity.
