The first major retrospective in decades devoted to Francisco de Zurbarán, one of the great painters of 17th-century Seville, spanning monumental monastic commissions, portraits, and still lifes. Organised jointly by the National Gallery in London, the Musée du Louvre, and the Art Institute of Chicago, the exhibition also traces Zurbarán's influence on modern painters including Picasso and Manet.
