A Caravaggio in Charlotte, with the Longhi collection around it

The Fondazione Roberto Longhi's Boy Bitten by a Lizard anchors more than 40 Baroque paintings at Mint Museum Uptown — the first Caravaggio shown in North Carolina this century.

Caravaggio | Revolution

Fewer than 60 paintings are securely attributed to Caravaggio, and this one rarely leaves Florence. Ribera, Stomer and Valentin de Boulogne fill out the room, and the surcharge is $10 over general admission. Seven weeks remain, and after St. Petersburg this is the tour's second American stop.
